Additional information: Cormac McLaggen is the most braggadocios, self-confident prat of Gryffindor House. He is good looking and fairly popular, but not necessarily well-liked; always quick with a loud joke or an amusing story, Cormac is the life of the party and basks in the limelight. However, Cormac’s incessant flirting with the women around him is a mere cover; he knew he was gay since the moment he set foot on Hogwarts grounds and laid eyes on Oliver Wood. The two of them had a short, but passionate relationship beginning Cormac’s fifth year and ending when Oliver finished school and moved on to join Puddlemere United at the end of Cormac’s sixth year.
Cormac has since gotten over Oliver, but in order to evade the suspicions Angelina Johnson unintentionally raised last year after witnessing Cormac out with a visiting Oliver, he’s decided to be as gung-ho about women as he possibly can be this year, setting his sights on Hermione Granger whom he knows to be a very smart, kind witch.
